crane crashed to the ground as the shaking continued.
“We better get out of here!”  one of the other guys shouted.
They ran out of the building. They heard a loud growling sound coming from behind them.  An orange calico cat twice the size of the one that was terrorizing the beach stood over the other cat carcass.  It was the mother and the dead one was one of its kittens.  It turned its attention on them and slowly walked toward them.  They stood terrorized in fear as it slowly approached.  It hissed at them loudly.  They ran toward the road leading out of the mill.  It chased after them.  The ground shook each step that it took.   Lucille lost her balance and fell to the ground.  As it was upon her, a rocket hit its left leg, causing it to trip.  It rolled to the left just barely missing Lucille.
“Lucille, are you all right?”  Benton asked.  He was standing in one of the military jeeps holding a portable rocket launcher.
The cat made an angry hissing sound as it slowly tried to stand back up.  Lucille spotted the drone heading in their direction.
“We better get out of here fast!”  Benton warned.
They climbed into the jeep and then sped away.  The large cat stared at them as the jeep drove farther away.  As it stood up, it spotted an object heading straight for it.  It ran from the object as it was closing in.  The missile hit it in the back and exploded, sending pieces into every direction.
Lucille watched it explode as the jeep headed back toward the beach.
    “Direct hit,” she said.
“I hope that was the last one,” Benton said.
“Me too,” Lucille said. “Me too.”

                           Chapter Six
           Somewhere in Canada

Owen followed his coonhound deeper into the woods.  It had picked up the scent of their prey and had been following it for over twenty minutes.
“Come on, eh.  Find it already,” Owen said impatiently.
The coonhound stopped suddenly, frozen in fear.
“What did you find?  A buck?”
Owen pushed the brush to the side exposing a large hole in the ground.  As he was looking downward, he lost his footing and fell into the hole.  He landed and hit the back of his head on a rock.  As he was regaining his consciousness, a large cat the size of a bear stared at him licking its lips.  Three other large size cats stood behind it.  Before he could react, the cat ripped his neck completely off and swallowed it.
The coonhound ran away with one of the cats in pursuit.
