a dying man and she was his last meal.
She spread her legs, allowing him to crawl closer to nirvana. When he reached the apex of her legs, he lowered his head and luxuriated in her womanly scent, causing him to groan before continuing to crawl over her body.
When his face was level with hers, he lowered his body over hers, effectively pinning her to the bed with his body weight.
He had to act quickly. He didn’t want to smother the elusive woman beneath him.
He slid his hands up her sides in teasing strokes, and he could see in her eyes she was getting impatient. He smiled to himself. She would learn patience by the end of the night.
He used his hands to push her arms above her head where he wanted them. She did as he directed. She really was going to enjoy what he had planned for her.
He stared into her gorgeous, moss-green eyes as he leaned in for a slow, gentle, and distracting kiss. It was so good he almost forgot what he was meant to be doing…almost.
He lowered one of his hands to reach into his back pocket. He stopped kissing and grinding against her when she moved her free hand from where he wanted it, silently telling her to put in back. With a hesitant look in her eyes, she reluctantly raised her hand above her head.
He guessed she wasn’t used to giving up control, and that’s exactly what he was asking her to do. He was amazed that with only a moment’s hesitation she gave the control over to him. Granted it was only in a small way, but it was still a beautiful and empowering sight.
He started to kiss her in the same drugging way he had before and grinded his pulsating shaft into her feminine mound.
For a brief moment, he had second thoughts, but he could see the secret desire hidden behind her eyes and grabbed what he needed from his back pocket, reached up, and wrapped them around one of the posts in the headboard before securing one end to each of her wrists.
She looked to the handcuffs around her wrists in shock then glared at him with fire in her eyes.
Maybe he’d been wrong about the secret desire, but it was too late to back out now.

How had she missed what he was doing? This man was messing with her senses, and for an Amazon, that was dangerous.
“Take them off, now !” She’d give him a chance to let her go before she killed him. She spoke in a low, menacing voice, trying to remain calm.
    “Now let me explain…”
She didn’t need to hear anymore, she planted her feet into the mattress, and thrust her hips forward trying to buck him off her. She could have used her superior strength to break the cuffs and kick his ass, but that would expose her as more than human, so she kept her strength at bay. For now.
Was this guy a rodeo cowboy in a previous life? She was bucking her hips like a woman possessed, and he wasn’t budging.
    “Whoa, calm down damn it.”
She stopped thrashing, but only because she could feel he was getting more aroused from her movements.
She could send up a cry for help, but the tribe would see her as weak for being caught in this position, and by a mortal man no less.
Sensing her unease, he smashed their mouths together, stealing her breath away.
She tried to resist his invasion, she really did, but as he sucked and bit her bottom lip, she moaned and unconsciously started to writhe sensually beneath him.
When he reached for her breast and squeezed her nipples…hard, she gasped, giving his tongue full access to her mouth. His tongue swept in, touching and teasing every inch of her mouth. It was such a sensual kiss she couldn’t have stopped the sigh from escaping if a gun was held to her head.
Sloan took that as a good sign and pulled back from the kiss to look her in the eye. He looked into those deep, dark-chocolate pools and had a sense of calm. She saw so many emotions swimming around in those fathomless eyes she couldn’t speak.
“I’m not going to hurt you, and if you really want me to, I’ll let you go and leave, but give
