coming back. I might not like what he was going to say, but we were in it together.
“First, I have to fill you in on everything Vincent told me before you got to the club.”
    “The strip club?”
His head jerked up, but he relaxed as soon as he saw my grin. I'd seen him there. He hadn't looked at any of the half-naked or fully-naked women the entire time we'd been there.
“Yes.” He smiled back as he sat down next to me.
I sighed. “Before you start, we should probably get dressed.” He gave me a questioning look. “Or at least covered, because I won't be able to concentrate if you're naked.”
He laughed, pulled the blanket over his lap and then started to tell me everything Vincent had told him. I had to admit, I hadn't seen any of that coming. I'd been sure Vincent was in on it too. The story would be easy enough to check. Gavin might've trusted his business partner, but I was still cynical, no matter how sad the story. A call back home would get things rolling, until then, I'd trust Gavin's judgment.
“All right,” I said when he got to the end. “What am I not going to like?”
“Alizee is having a party tonight and wants us there.”
He was wrong. I didn't just dislike the idea. I loathed it. Abhorred. Despised. But I'd do what needed to be done.
“Okay,” I said. “I'm in.” Gavin looked at me, surprised. “But you're going to owe me.” I slid my hand under the blanket and wrapped my fingers around his cock.
“Oh, I’ll enjoy paying you back.” Gavin smiled as he pulled me on top of him. “With interest.”
I laughed. We had some time before the party and I intended to take advantage of every minute of it.

Chapter 8
    Carrie
By the time we had to get up and get ready, we were both limp, boneless, and wishing we had nowhere to go. I could've laid in Gavin's arms for hours and been content. Based on the reluctance on his face, I felt safe assuming he was thinking along the same lines. We'd had sex twice more and I lost count the number of times I'd climaxed. We were in sync again and not just physically. There was an emotional and mental connection that had been hit or miss for months. It had been there each time we came together today and I felt more at ease than I had in a long time.
Still, we had work to do.
“Are we going to the yacht?” I couldn't resist asking the question as I rolled out of his embrace. He glared at me and I laughed. After a moment, he joined in.
“No, smart-ass,” he retorted. “She has a place here. One of the rich neighborhoods. Her house is huge, so she's hosting the party there.”
“And you'd know this how?” I asked as I headed for the bathroom.
“Oh, didn't I tell you? Vincent and I stopped by a couple times for the nightly orgy.”
I threw a dirty look over my shoulder and stuck out my tongue for good measure before I disappeared into the bathroom. It was nice to be able to joke with him about this kind of thing instead of getting upset about it.
“Vincent's been there,” Gavin called after me. “He filled me in on a lot of what Alizee owns. What she's bought with her earnings from exploiting people.”
I could feel him getting back into the right frame of mind and I followed his example. Now that we were good, we needed to focus on helping Vincent and Pierre take down Alizee. I turned on the shower and waited a moment for the hot water to warm up. I'd wait until I was out of the shower to go over plans with Gavin. Between what Vincent had said and the pictures Pierre had shown me, we knew Alizee was dangerous. The fact that she'd come this far meant she was also very smart. The only way this was going to work would be if we had a plan in place. We needed to know what we were going to do as well as the where and when. And we needed to make sure we were prepared for any contingencies. Nothing could catch us off guard.

When Gavin called Alizee's house large, it had been an understatement. At least comparatively. Her place was at
