    “Alright, Dalia Azul. You can do this.”
    Talking to herself while doing something as important as creating a lust spell was not her normal, but what the hell. She had a bit of trouble the past few times she’d attempted it and instead of calling her mother, Lucila, or one of her sisters, she’d decided to figure it out on her own.
    Her cell phone rang just as she was about to do the second part of her spell. She slapped a hand over her forehead and growled. This was why she never got things right. Someone always interrupted her.
    “Hello?” She tried to keep the bite out of her voice but it was hard. This was her hundredth time trying this spell why wasn’t it working?
    “Darling, how are you?” Her Godmother, Cleopatra asked.
    Unlike Lucila, Cleo always made a point to be helpful to her goddaughters. Having identical triplet witches as godchildren had to have made her life more difficult than she ever imagined. Someone always needed help. With Lucila off being part of the elder council, she was busy and never around.
    “I’m good,” she sighed. How did her godmother always know when to call her?
    “I heard there’s a report out for men to be careful coming near you?”
    Dalia inhaled sharply. It was all that stupid shifter’s fault. Jared Price. For some reason, her wayward spells had a tendency of hitting his house in the woods. She couldn’t figure out why every time she tried something he ended up being affected.
    The last thing she wanted was to hit him with a lust spell.
    “Nobody needs to be careful,” she sniffed. Stupid sexy shifter. “If he hadn’t come here all angry and growly, we could have discussed things like grown adults. But that man and his snarling pushed me to my limit.”
    She gave up the spell when Cleo materialize in her living room. She smiled at the mini dress her Godmother had on. Obviously she was going out hunting for a man. Cleo never dressed like that unless she was in search of a lover.
    Cleo smiled and winked. “He was hot, huh?”
    Dalia’s shoulders drooped. “You have no idea. The body on him was unreal. He showed up here naked. Naked. And he yelled at me while naked.”
    She’d been unable to stop fantasizing with Jared’s intense steely gray eyes. Or the square jaw he clenched while telling her to learn to control her magic.
    “Naked, huh?” Cleo sighed. “I’d have paid to see that.”
    “I almost paid him to stay,” she admitted.

    Cleo hugged her to her side and leaned her head close, conspiratorially. “Are you purposely messing up so he can come back?”
    Goddess no! No...No? She couldn’t be that stupid. Okay, yes she could. “I hate to tell you this but I’m not that good with this spell. Why is it I keep trying to make a lust spell and shit happens to him ?”
