there’s anything you want me to know. You aren’t married, are you?” she asked, jokingly.
“Nyet. I’m not. Are you?” he asked, already knowing she wasn’t.
“Of course not.” She glanced back towards the dance floor. “Let’s go dance... I mean, if you want to.”
Sergei took her hand and led her onto the dance floor. Dani immediately noticed Zoe dancing with a group of guys. Sergei’s body stiffened when he saw the men she was with.
“What’s wrong? Do you know those guys?” Dani asked, her voice a little shaky. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong but she had noticed a subtle change in Sergei, his expression stern.
“Those are not good men,” he said. “Stay here. Excuse me.” He heading towards the group. Dani watched as Sergei tapped Zoe on the shoulder. She listened, then nodded. Before Zoe could make it to me, the guys began to argue but Dani was too far away to make out the words. Thankfully, the men left without causing any problems, Sergei glaring at them as they headed for the door.
“Hey, girl,” Zoe said. “Where have you been?” She tilted her head, looking at her friend. “You look flushed. You didn’t run off and have sex with the mighty Russian hottie, did you?”
Dani’s looked at the floor, a slow, wicked smile creeping across her angelic face.
“Oh my god!” Zoe gasped. “You did! Damn, you work fast. Was he good?”
“He was amazing. I’ll tell you about it later,” she said as muscular arms wrapped around her.
“He’s amazing at what?” Sergei asked, clearly having heard the entire conversation.
“You,” Dani said. “You’re freaking amazing, that’s what.” She was stunned by the way she responded so openly.
He arched a brow and smiled wickedly at her. She shivered under is gaze, wanting to feel his hands on her again. Oh, the things he had done to her. She’d had plenty of lovers, but none of them had been able to make her body sing with pleasure as he had. Dani had been shocked by how much his commands thrilled her. She wanted more and from the look in his eyes, so did he.
It was late when they left the bar with Sergei. He had insisted on giving them a ride back to their hotel. The girls had agreed, knowing it would be insane to walk back alone after drinking so much. Dani was shocked that he hadn’t tried to talk her into letting him stay at the hotel with her. Instead, he was a gentleman and only kissed her on the cheek, but she had felt his eyes on her as she made her way through the hotel entrance. Part of her had wanted to look over her shoulder, to look at his handsome face one more time, but she didn’t.
She had climbed into her cozy bed and prayed that it wasn’t a one-night stand. She was excited at the idea of spending a whole week wrapped in his arms, his hands ravishing her body. What’s more is that she wanted to ravish his impeccable body, too. But would he let her take control? Sergei didn’t seem like the type of man willing to let go and let someone else take the lead. He was different than others guys. There was something wild and dangerous about him. The look in his eyes and the way he carried himself made her think of him as a fighter, hell-bent on coming out on top. He was gorgeous and she wanted him in every possible way.

Chapter Six

Stepan Smirnov had been jealous of his brother for as long as he could remember. The Pakhan had always preferred Sergei’s willingness to follow orders without question. Stepan preferred to do as he wished, but that way of thinking had caused him to fall out of favor with his father, and in doing so, lose his chance at leading the family.
Sergei didn’t want to be pakhan, not really. Stepan could clearly see that he questioned, not so much the family business, but the marriage he was being forced to agree to. He had seen the scowl on Sergei’s face when Katya kissed his cheek at their first meeting. His brother may
