Tempted by the Alpha Bear

CHAPTER ONE
I was very annoyed when my mother remarried another man because this meant that I would have to go visit her far away in Europe where he lived. One the plus side he was a real estate billionaire that had acquired lots of land and my mother was able to send money to help me out as I struggled through my crappy job. She had been married a month now and she pleaded for me to come try life with them for a while. She mentioned they lived in his old estate in Germany and it had lots of room for me. It was outside a village that had not changed much since the medieval ages. Now she was forcing me to come spend the winter visiting her at the billionaire’s old estate to see if I liked life there. I think she thought that if I became more part of the family that he would give me lots of money or something. I loathed the idea of being in the country in an out of date village, as I was a modern city girl. I liked all the modern amenities of the city, and I didn’t like the thought of being in the isolation of the country or only having a small village nearby. However, that was not the real reason that I loathed going because after all who would refuse a vacation. What really bothered me was the way mother always talked about my weight and scolded me about it. I was a curvy girl with a full figure and round hips. I didn’t see it as a problem, but my mother always did and she always made that known. It was annoying and did not do much for my self-esteem. Being away from her made me feel good about my body, but once I was around her again it only took a few of her words to make me feel fat and unattractive. At least it was winter and snowing in the German village so that I could hide under layers of clothes. This would be better so that she could not scrutinize me so much. So I finally agreed to come out for while. I took a few weeks off of work for winter break. I packed and left my mundane apartment and life in the city and headed for the remote area of the mountains and forest of Germany.
After a long flight and then one more connecting flight, I arrived at the small airport where a black car was waiting for me, one of the perks of my mother marrying a billionaire I thought.
“Sarah Driskin? I am your driver,” the man in black said.
“Thank you,” I said as I handed him my bags and bundled up my coat as the chill hit me.
“How long is the drive?” I asked already wanting it to be over.
    “Three hours,” he said.
    “Three hours!” I yelled.
He sort of looked amused but didn’t say anything else.
“Sorry,” I said as I got in the car and braced myself for a long drive.
The car left the small town and small airport and drove over large snow capped mountain ranges and past small hamlets that sprinkled across the lands. The snow on top of the buildings made it look like a snow based fairy tale land. I started to lighten in mood as I decided to not let my awful mother get in the way of my enjoyment of these beautiful and magical surroundings. The more I saw the place the more I relaxed and felt at ease. The place really was beautiful and enchanting. The tiny German buildings reminded me of Hansel and Gretel type of houses that you would see at Disney Land.
We drove for two hours and I was beginning to think that perhaps we were lost. I pushed the button to roll down the partition between the driver and I.
“If we have much longer to go maybe we can have a stop at tavern so that I can grab a coffee please?”
“Yes, ma’am. There is a place a few miles down the road here.”
    “Thank you.”
Minutes later I was inside the ladies room of a rustic tavern lodge in a small village. I freshened up and stretched. Then I sat at the counter of the tavern and ordered a hot coffee to go.
    “You are not from her
