of us will make everyone feel better. You know, somewhat ease our pain of seeing Bianca in that state.”

“I know the feeling and you know that I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wished I could’ve been there already, but going into premature labor put a stop to any plans I had if I wanted to have this baby. Being that it has taken me this long to even get pregnant I wasn’t about to risk that.”

“Sis, you don’t have to explain it to me. I know you didn’t want to risk that. Plus, the situation was already stressful enough and you didn’t need to be around that.” Kerry smiled because they hadn’t seen their sister in over six months. “I am just so happy to be bringing you home. We have missed you so much around here.”

“I know and I’ve missed y’all so much too. I just miss home period.” She said, almost with regrets of leaving.

“So how are things there in Marietta?” Kerry asked knowing that Janay was a bit private about her life; especially since she’d moved away.

“Marietta is Marietta.” She nonchalantly stated. “It’s nothing like home though.”

“Well, I already know that.” Kerry responded. “How are things going with your new parents? Is Finn being supportive?”

“Finn is too busy in church being the assistant pastor. His father is still very sick and he wants his son more than anything to step up and take over the reins. I’m happy for my man, in a sense, but I don’t believe that Finn is completely ready for that. Don’t get me wrong, he knows the bible front to back, because he is a Preacher’s child, but you can’t force him in that position. He has to be ready for it.”

    “I totally agree,” Kerry responded.

“And his mother still looks at me in this bitter way as if I’m not good enough for her son. I just feel so alone here sometimes. With my husband being gone most days and his family not being very accepting, it’s hard. Then I’m starting to feel some type of way, because he’s doing things that I don’t quite approve of.”

    “Such as?” Kerry quickly asked.

“He’s having phone calls and lunch dates with the women in the congregation. I ain’t gonna lie, Sis. These bitches are thirty as hell, but my man acts as if he doesn’t see it. Ain’t nothing for him to go out to meet a few of the members to discuss the itinerary for the month. Unfortunately, the busier he’s starting to get the less I’m able to be with him because of this bed rest situation. It’s like he’s become a celebrity overnight.”

“You have to think about it Sis. The man has stepped into a church with over 2500 congregation members. Of course he’s like a celebrity to some of these people.”

“I know but they should all know him. His daddy has been the pastor in that church for over thirty years, not to mention his father’s father was the one that passed it down to him.” She took in a deep breath. “I should be happy for Finn, but I know women and some of them act a fool over a man that they feels have a higher calling.”

“Well, Finn does look good and I’ve seen him preach before at our church and I must say that the brother is good with what he does.”

“He takes it honest, but I’m just not used to all the attention that he’s getting now. It’s starting to be too much and I can’t wait to come home and clear my head. I’m seven and a half months pregnant. I need this little one to stay in the bun for a few more weeks.”

Kerry smiled. “I’m so happy that you’re finally having a baby. Don’t let nobody rain on your parade. You and Finn eloped before y’all moved to Marietta just so his parents wouldn’t trip about y’all shacking. So take that as a sign of good faith. The man must want you in his corner.”

“Un-huh, I guess you’re right.” She said then wanted nothing more than to change the subject. “So how are you and Justin? How has it been being a
