into the air, bumping their chests together.
Tammy rolled her eyes at them. It was a shame they were such idiots. They were actually quite attractive guys, but when they acted like this–which was most of the time now it seemed–it became difficult for her to be around them. She was starting to regret coming on this trip. Her mother had said it would be good for her to get out of the house for the summer, get some sun, maybe meet a guy. That sounded okay but the idea of spending the next month alone with these two had made it a more difficult decision. And after the five hour car ride with them talking about all the chicks they were going to bang, she knew why she’d been so reluctant in the first place.
“This place is so dusty,” she said. “I think I’m going to scrub it down.”
    “Yeah, good idea,” John said.
“So, you’ll help me then?” she said, knowing they wouldn’t.
“Umm, how about you get started and we’ll go check out the lake. Maybe you could start some lunch for us too.”
“I’m not your goddamn mother,” she said.
“Woah,” Brad said. “Relax. Do you need some Midol? Is it that time of the month again?”
John laughed as she glared at Brad. If Brad weren’t so immature she would be attracted to him. His toned athletic body had been the center of many of her masturbation fantasies. She’d known both of them almost her whole life. They were two years older than her and she’d had a bit of a crush on them growing up even though they were like brothers to her. Well, John actually was her brother. Step-brother anyway. She’d even made out with Brad when they were teenagers once. Her crush hadn’t lasted long because once they realized how much fun it was to tease her she did her best to just stay away from them.
“Whatever,” she said. “I’m going to clean. You guys do whatever you want.”
“Thanks sis,” John said. “You’re the best.” They left out the back door and she watched them walking down towards the lake, looking over to the neighbor’s house where Brad said all the “sluts” were. God, they could be so crass sometimes. She watched them take their shirts off to reveal their muscled torsos and a small warmth began to stir between her legs. It was silly to be turned on by those assholes but for some reason she was.
Tammy picked the stray books up off the floor and set them back in the box. A good portion of the books she brought were trashy romance novels. It was a guilty pleasure of hers; they weren’t high literature but they kept her active libido satisfied. One-handed reading as she liked to call it, smiling to herself now. There was no reason she couldn’t look at Brad and John’s hot bodies and just ignore them when they opened their big mouths. She was determined to not let them ruin her trip and she started to clean the place up, singing quietly to herself.
After about an hour of cleaning, Brad and John came back in the house.
    John said, “Hey, Tammy.”
    “What do you want now?”
“Listen,” he said. “We’re going to be here for a month, and I know we don’t always get along.”
Actually, she thought, you’re just a dick but didn’t say it since he seemed to be working up to saying something semi-nice.
“Anyway, we have to share this place, and I’m sorry about calling you a nerd earlier. It was rude.”
She was suspicious; it wasn’t like him to apologize for anything unless someone forced him to.
When she responded by just staring at him he continued, “Well I know you’re not our maid and Brad and I were thinking that we would cook dinner for all of us since you’ve been cleaning up in here.”
She looked at Brad who smiled at her. “That’s very nice of you,” she said. Still suspicious, but maybe they were actually being genuine.
“And,” John said, “we setup the umbrella and chair for you on the deck, and you know, we thought maybe you would want to just take a load off and read a book, drink a beer. We
