exact.” Kota gave Maverick a nod as a knock sounded on the door.
“I swear I’m going to install a revolving door.” Maverick
mumbled then bellowed, “Come in.”
Hawk came in and sat on the leather sofa. “Glad to see you found your mate, Kota. Maverick here tells me he dreamt it.”
Kota raised a brow at Maverick, pissed that he had lied to him about confidentiality.
Maverick held up a hand, “Before you get all bent out of shape, Kota, I only told him about the dreams, not the contents of it. It’s nobody’s business why I sent you. Just like it’s nobody’s business about your mission ahead of you and what that boy’s future is. Not even yours. Just get him here.”
A knock sounded, and Maverick rolled his eyes. Before he could yell for them to come in, Cecil opened the door and led Johnny over to Hawk.
“Hawk, you need to calm Johnny down. Kota, go get your mate from the kitchen. He needs you.”

Chapter Six
Kota shot out of Maverick’s office and down the hall to the kitchen. Blair was sitting at the table with his hands balled into fists, tears running down his face. Kota grabbed him from the chair and pulled him in his arms.
“What’s wrong, sunshine? What happened?”
“If I ask you something, will you tell me the truth?” Blair wiped at the tears in his eyes.
“Always. I will never lie to you. Now tell me what’s wrong?”
Kota had left his mate with Cecil and Johnny. Two harmless humans.
What could possibly have happened in a half hour while he was with Maverick?
“Are those two little boys being forced to stay here? Is someone hurting them?” Blair looked on the verge of crying again. What had given his mate that idea? He knew for a fact that Maverick adored Cecil and Cecil adored Maverick. He didn’t know anything about Hawk and Johnny, but he was sure the same applied to them as well.
He sat down, pulling Blair onto his lap. “They aren’t little boys.
They’re grown men, sunshine, and I can tell you right now that those two men and you are the safest people in this house. These wolves, every last one of them, would not tolerate anyone of you three being hurt, even by their own mate. They’re happy, baby. I promise.” Kota kissed Blair while running his fingers through his silken hair.
“I just can’t imagine those two being with such powerful men.
They’re so little. Johnny seems so…innocent. Please tell me they’re okay.” Blair cuddled into Kota’s lap, picking lint off of his shirt that wasn’t there.

“I promise, sunshine. They’re okay.”
Dakota took Blair to their bedroom. As promised, his things were sitting inside the door. He took a look around his new bedroom. It was huge , unlike the closet he had lived in. The bed was centered in the middle of the room, and sat high off the floor. A beautiful, thick black and burgundy duvet spanned across the top with what looked to be a thousand pillows. The guy liked his comfort.
Two large floor-to-ceiling windows adorned either side of the bed, their thick drapery pulled to one side. There was a door to the left.
Must be the bathroom. Thick, plush carpeting lay under his feet. He wanted to take his shoes off and squish his toes in it. Dakota took his bag and set it on one of two dressers, opening a large hutch for his clothes.
“I can get that.” Blair pulled his clothes out that Dakota had bought him and hung them in the oak cabinet. This room was truly beautiful, majestic. Blair noticed two overstuffed chairs sitting to the right, inviting him to kick his feet up and snuggle down in its welcoming comfort. He walked over and sank back. It was heaven.
Dakota chuckled. “Comfy?” He knelt at Blair’s feet, pulling his legs up one at a time and removing his sneakers. His feet began to tickle as his mate massaged them, stripping the socks off in the process. Blair sat in awe of the apocalyptic warrior kneeling at his feet. How had he gotten so
