harder, faster, stronger, and Ava was right there with him, drenched in her own juices, and drunk on pleasure as Shane took her higher.
His fingers threaded through her hair and held her close to his face. “You are burning me to the ground, Ava,” he told her. “You're so close I can feel your pussy clenching me. Squeeze me Ava, squeeze me until I can't breathe."
Ava managed a nod and held on to him for dear life. “Please?"
"All I want to do is please you, honey.” And with that, he stroked her while his thumb pressed into her clit, and she came apart.
"Ah. . . . “ she cried, as Shane stilled, arched his back and groaned long and hard with his own completion.

Chapter Eight
At the bar Ava found Elena preparing clean glasses for the evening crowd. She wiggled her eyebrows at Ava, who smiled.
    "What?"
"Oh, aren't you the sly one? Taking the young and luscious Shane Sullivan and making him your lover in less than a week?"
Ava picked up a dish towel and wiped the inside of a beer mug. She shook her head, still amazed at the turn of circumstances. “I care for him, El.” She sighed as a delicious ache settled in her pussy, as if he were still inside her. Every pore in her body was still sore from their lovemaking, and Ava had never felt so alive. “What a stroke of luck for us to find each other that night."
Elena laughed and grabbed Ava's hand that was holding the cloth. “Luck? Ava, sweetheart, luck had nothing to do with it. When I saw him looking at you from table five, I approached him. He ordered a beer, and seemed interested in you. So I thought it couldn't hurt to tell him it was your birthday and you were celebrating your brand new divorce. I asked him to buy you a drink and he agreed. The next thing I know, he's approaching you and the chemistry between the both of you was so obvious, I just let nature take its course. So, in essence, he was your birthday gift from me. Glad it worked out so well for the both of you. You may thank me now for your ‘boy toy'."
Ava's legs wobbled and her heart raced. She dropped the cloth to the bar, pulled her wrist from Elena's grip, and gripped the edge of the bar for balance. “My gift? You mean you paid him to talk to me? Everything he did was an act?"
"No, no sweetie. I just gave him a push. He said he remembered you from a Christmas party when you were still married to the ex."
"But the fact remains that for all intents and purposes, he gave me a pity fuck.” Ava felt sick. Her stomach heaved and her head throbbed with dull pain, threatening to explode.
She brought her palms to her temples to stop the pounding . I should have known . She'd been fooling herself the whole entire time. Shane Sullivan didn't want the overweight, forty year old divorcee whose husband had ran away with Shane's fiancee.
"Oh my God, what have I done?” Anger and embarrassment ate at her. All the memories of the time spent with Shane swirled before her eyes like a broken kaleidoscope. She'd opened herself to him, body and soul. She'd fallen in love with him in such a short time, stripped for him, fucked and sucked him, allowed him to touch every inch of her flesh, and had allowed him to ingrain himself into her heart.
I had sex with him on a fucking pool table!
A.J. was right. She should have listened to him.
I'm a stupid, foolish woman. What the hell was I thinking?
Was he having a good laugh at her expense? Get back at Dick by fucking the rejected wife?
Elena caught her around the waist. “I'm sorry Ava. Did I say something wrong?"
    "Hey, ladies."
Shane. A smile graced that handsome face and those lying eyes, as he held a huge bouquet of roses in his large fingers.
Ava broke free from Elena, who turned and walked away. Her feet urged her to move toward him.
"Hi gorgeous, these are for you."
She stood toe to toe with him, had to look up to see that face and try not to fall apart when her eyes met his own. She took the roses from his hand,
