a Fucking dead Fed!” I squeezed the trigger and watched as the bullet flew through his head, splattering blood and brain matter all over the small tidy, kitchen. Gavin seemed to be in shock by the news, that was just revealed to him. He wiped away the blood that splattered his face, and walked past me towards his brother.
“Gavin please let me explain.” I said as I grabbed his shoulder. He pulled free of me and turned with pain in his eyes, before he said.
“I knew you must be too good to be true. I will deal with this later, right now we have to get rid of Hammer, and patch up you and my brother.”  His eyes kept betraying him and going to my bleeding wound on my good arm. I could see I was hurting him, but tried to lessen the blow a little.
“What I felt for you was not part of my mission. I actually fell for you. I can take care of Hammer, I just have to make a call. I suggest you take Lucas and the two of you go to the club house. I’ll catch up with you later and we’ll talk about this.”
He nodded, pushed Lucas to the door lightly and walked out, slamming the door loudly behind him. I winced and pain radiated through my body. Between being brow beat, cut, and having my heart ripped out of my chest, it’s a miracle I’m even standing at all.  I picked up my cell, and called in the local clean up crew. I spoke clearly and precisely as I gave them the address.  And waited patiently as they got there and questioned everything I did.
“Agent Quinn, I’m Agent Loma, how and when did this start?”
I looked at the crime scene agent and sighed. “I was at Gavin’s drinking a cup of coffee. I heard the door open and Hammer rushed me. He hit me a few times, knocked me into a table which caused the damage to my head, and I woke up here in Lucas’s house, tied to a chair with Lucas.”
He followed everything, but when I said I was in Gavin’s house, and didn’t have my service revolver on me, I could tell the cogs were turning for questions. Just as I was about to answer the inconsistent questions he said.
“So you were at Gavin’s? Where was your service revolver, why wasn’t it with you at all times? Why are you wearing a sleep shirt and nothing else? How did Marshall Donalson also known as Hammer, end up like this?”
I rolled my eyes and said. “ If you had let me finish I would have answered. I stayed the night at Gavin’s, Hammer surprised me when I was still in my pajamas. I left my service revolver here because I went on a date, and couldn’t hide it from Gavin. And Hammer surprised me, tied me up, beat me, cut me, threatened to rape and kill me like he did to the other women, and when I got free I put a bullet in his head when he was fighting with Gavin.”
He put his notebook away and gave me a look of annoyance. I rolled my eyes at him and said, “Can I go get dressed, so I can give these clothes to the crime scene techs? I’ll sign my affidavit as soon as I get dressed.”
He nodded his head at me to answer, I finished with him and handed him my gun and walked down the hall towards my room.  After changing into a comfortable pair of pants and black t-shirt I grabbed my spare gun out of my suitcase, tucked it into the back of my pants and headed back to the kitchen to sign the affidavit, and hopefully be allowed to leave.  When I walked into the room, they all turned to stare. Agent Loma turned and walked towards me with a clipboard and pen. He already had my service pistol bagged up for evidence, and keeping it legit he tapped the dotted line at the bottom of the page for me to sign. I grabbed the pen and signed the paper, with my every account of what transpired today.
“If that’s it, I’ll be back at the field office in the morning and can be debriefed by Special Agent Marcus.”
He nodded and waved for the open door.
