exited the shower. While he remained under the spray, she dried her body and dressed in bikini panties and bra.
By the time he exited the bath, she’d started drying her hair. She tried not to stare at his groin as he patted the towel over his body, but she couldn’t help looking.
“There’s plenty of food in the pantry and in the fridge if you’re hungry,” she said loudly as her locks blew away from the heated dryer in her hand.
“I’m hungry for you,” he said.
She shook her head and mouthed the word ‘later’.
He wrapped the towel around his waist then headed toward her. As he passed, he smacked her ass. Tingles spread across her butt cheek. She twisted to find he’d already vanished from the bathroom. Sneaky bastard.
Gwen finished styling her locks then applied a touch of makeup to her face. She strode from the bathroom and Phillip was not in sight. She checked the time. Although she was running late, she could still make it into work on time if she skipped eating breakfast. She dressed in a knee-length, black skirt with a slit on the side and a short-sleeved white blouse with a cami underneath. After a last check in the mirror, she grabbed her shoes from the closet then headed downstairs.
The aroma of coffee and toast drifted through the air. The scent enticed Gwen and made her stomach gurgle. She entered the kitchen and found Phillip plucking the bread from the toaster. He placed the two slices on a small dish.
He glanced over his shoulder. “I fixed a cup for you. It’s on the counter. I remember how you like it.”
“You’re so sweet.” She walked around the center island and discovered the cup of java waiting for her.
With only the towel covering his groin and thighs, he headed toward her with the plate of toast. “Do you want butter or jelly?”
She took a big drink of coffee then lowered the mug. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll have to eat in the car. If I want to leave work on time and make it back to your loving arms, I need to leave now.”
“I have more than loving arms waiting for you.”
“Yes, and I want it all, but I must leave now so we can both have what we want.” She gulped more coffee.
“Then be off with you, my horny woman. Return to me so I can ravage you again.”
She set her nearly empty cup on the counter. As she took the dish from his hand, he gave her a kiss.
“Thank you. Call me later if you’d like.” She snatched her purse and keys from the counter.
“Have fun at work,” Phillip said.
She blew a kiss to him before she left.
Traffic was worse than normal since she’d left later. Cars crawled along the interstate. The slow rate of speed granted Gwen time to chew on her toast. The food put an end to the grumbling in her belly.
She made it into work only a few minutes late. Striding to her desk, she decided to make up the time during lunch. Then she recalled she was meeting Travis. She’d have to stay a few minutes after work to cover the lost time. She doubted the extra minutes would delay her too much from arriving home to Phillip by five.
Gwen sat at her desk and worked through a few hours with little interruption. Around ten, an email popped on her screen from Travis. He’d asked to meet her for lunch at eleven-thirty. She responded with her acceptance then continued working.
“Hey,” Melanie said as she entered Gwen’s cube. “When are you going to lunch with Travis?”
Gwen peered up from the file she was reviewing and checked the clock on her monitor. Her eyes widened when she noticed the hour. “In a few minutes. I’m glad you dropped by. I’ve been so busy I haven’t paid attention to the time.” She closed the file on her desk.
“That’s what happens when you take long vacations. You come back to piles of work and forget about meetings.”
“No kidding. I almost don’t want to take any vacations again. Scratch that. I’ll take a vacation but I won’t want to return to work.” Gwen opened her drawer under her desk
