just so different than my husband, and somebody that I thought I could really enjoy myself with, without thinking that they had some sort of agenda. We lay in each other's arms, feeling each other's skin, until finally I had to address the elephant in the room.

“That was fun, and a nice distraction from the fact that we have a gun over there on the table.” I didn't want to be the one to shine a light on it, but it wasn't exactly like we could avoid the situation.

He twisted around to face me, taking my hand and placing it on his heart “This is what you do to me, and right now I couldn't care if there was a freaking submachine gun on the table over there. You are the only thing that concerns me, and you have turned me into somebody that I haven't been in a very long time. Do you know how long it takes some men my age to get an erection, and to get one two times in less than an hour is almost impossible? He was making my ego get bigger by the second, not to mention what I was feeling with my fingers and still not believing that I had this kind of effect on him.

“That is awfully nice of you to say, and I do have to admit the fact that you are more man than most men I have ever been with. I think it goes without saying that we are perfectly matched sexually together, but that still doesn't negate the fact that we have a situation that we should deal with as soon as possible.” He was looking at me with these wide eyes, but then he made an exasperated sigh, before flipping off the sheets and going over to the table where the weapon was.

Picking it up, he temporarily aimed it at me, almost making me jump for cover, until finally he twirled it around like he was some sort of Western cowboy. “I don’t suppose we could just flush it.” That didn't seem very wise, and probably would just result in the toilet overflowing. “No, I didn't think so, but it was at least worth a thought.”

“We could just take it down the hall and put it on somebody else's tray outside the room, or better yet toss it down the laundry chute, and get rid of it altogether.” He grabbed the same towel that he had before, put it around his waist and opened the door and looked up and down the hallway to make sure the coast was clear. He dashed out, and disappeared from view for a couple of minutes, while I sat there with the sheet up over my nakedness.

He ran back in, closing the door and lifting his hands to show that the weapon was now out of his possession. “There that should give the laundry staff something to talk about.” I was already getting out of bed, putting on the same dress that he had so efficiently taken off of me. He came over, and I pushed him away, because I didn't want to get caught in this trap once again.

“I better be going, and I really don't think it's a good idea that we see each other again. Let's just chalk this up to something that we couldn't avoid, and next time I hope that we both can show a little bit more restraint.” He followed me to the door, kissing the back of my neck and making my entire body tingle, almost enough to make me turn around and do this all over again for the third time. At least I was able to walk away before I succumbed to his advances, and I had my shoes in my hand so that I wouldn't make any noise when I entered into my room on the other floor.

I thought for sure that I was going to find Michael waiting for me, sitting in one of the chairs in the dark, ready to turn on the light and try to take me out of my comfort zone. He would no doubt want to interrogate me, and I had no reason to believe that I would be able to hold up to such scrutiny.

What I found was an empty room, and it looked like I had beaten him back to the room. At least I didn't have anything to explain about, because I really didn't want to have that kind of argument anytime soon. I lost my head for a couple of hours, and I swore to myself that it wouldn't happen again. I saw the light
